The "immediate family" thing was abolished a year ago. Look it up.

Basically now anything that would impact the welfare of the student athlete is a prong for decision. Immediate family or not, but there has to be a good reason.

CC is 195 miles for Statesville, NC. Blacksburg is 135 miles.

I am unware of any 100 mile rule, and I've looked. The only thing about that I can find is the kid's post.

We are talking about immediate eligibility on transfer. He has a redshirt year availble.

Tne new rule for immediate eligibility is the "hardship" as I described above, have to be eligible for advancement at the school you're transferring from, have to be eligiable for your upcoming class academically at the school you're transferring to, and the transfer from school has to have no objection.

I don't care one way or the other, but a 65 mile difference to me is pretty meh given the drama.
