Having the men's basketball team resemble a mini-UN and/or using 1-n-doners should probably only be used as a bridge until MY is able to get his "type of player" on the court. Now if MY wants to recruit foreign players, similar to what we saw with UVA this past season, then I wouldn't have a problem with it.
