This may be the first ever 13-player recruiting class when all is said and done. Let's hope that there is some retention but it is now looking realistic to believe that at least 10 new players will be wearing maroon and orange this fall. Add in a new coach, new assistants, new S&C coach and you have a build it from scratch opportunity. At this rate, I am fully waiting for the trombone section of the pep band and half of the High Techs to enter the transfer portal.

Let's face it, we can thank F'ng Brent for taking a flame thrower to the artist formerly known as Hokies Basketball. I have not been critical of CMY and I wish him all of the success in the world. His job is daunting at best because the ACC will not care that your former coach decided to go "General Sherman" to his former team. We are going to suck for a while and I cannot fault any of the new coaches or players for one bit of it. I can only hope that we are a bubble team 3 or 4 years from now. Anything else will be nothing short of a miracle.
