There literally is not a precedent...
Of a coach who coached so long at a school as small as Wofford and got a major job without ANY major conference experience. There is Steve Donahue who coached at Cornell for several years after a career in HS and other Ivy League schools. Like Young, his success was relatively spotty at Cornell. He got to BC and proved out of his depth.
