My take on the MY hire.

Ive been watching/attending games since i was a child in the 70's and all through my college years. As a chilf i would go down to the locker room area and on occasion i woul get arm bands or other give aways from the players. While i love where Buzz brought the prigran, i kinda wish he bought into VT as if it were his own and as he had not i am not put off by his departure. As fir MY, i believe that he us more likely to buy into VT and as such we should see some good things coming in the course of the next 3-4 years. I like what i have seen and heard of him. Taking a team newly into Div 1 ball to the level he had is impressive, note his coach of the year recognition. Does that directly translate to success at VT? Not necessarily, but he deserves a legitimate chance. He should find that selling VT to prospects a bit easier. He has solid credentials as a developer. Does that have a celing? We can only find out. When coach Beamer was brought to VT from Murray St.many of these same discussions took place. Coach Beamer took VT yo places noone thought possible for a little known school in the mountains of SWVA. i believe MY has the same potential if we allow him the time to develope it.
