Well it seems like he thinks exactly like it looks.

The only thing that matters is football and nobody will be that bothered by basketball just being average at best and this guy should keep us near average. As long as it isnt embarrasing no one will say much...

He is suprised by the fan reaction im sure. Im sure he is shocked by the amount of people who do want basketball relevant when he figured most people would just accept that he is a nice guy, wont leave us ,and is from here. And he is all of those things... he truly is. But those arent qualifications for any other school that cares about basketball. He reactively tried to collect quotes telling everybody how good coach is..

i have no doubt he can coach. But he has no experience in the power 5. He has spent 30 years at the same school recruiting the same caliber of kids. He hasnt gone toe to toe with roy williams or coach k or boehim. Hasnt dealt with the attitudes that come with a four star player. Or the coaches and guardians that come with them. I fear that the administration will give him the money for assistants that we gave buzz and that wont do for a less caliber coach. If this disturbance does nothing else but give cmy more help with assitants than every negative (or honest ) comment andor show of commitment that we have made will be worth it.

We are going to watch, we are going to hope for the best, we will root every step of the way. But if administration begins to show that they are back to not caring like it seems then i will not financially care either anymore. Ive watched every game. Every second... in person or on tv since 2001... finally basketball got supported and we produced a sweet 16 and this move has shown me that they are back to pulling the rug out.
