Five of Greenberg's 8 ACC years VT finished 4th four times and 3rd once. Even with "only" 12 teams that's the upper third of the ACC. And he never finished last. He played No 1 six times and was 3 - 3. All three losses were on the last possession of the game.

How has the narrative become VT was "so bad for so long?" It just isn't true.
