Any way I told him I am a VT grad and he told me he talked to our new coach the night before. He said he was a wonderful person and a great X's and O's coach. I mentioned how much we were going to miss Buzz and how it appeared we were losing most of the team. He nicely stated, without stating it, that we may have been a bit spoiled with Buzz's success and that Coach Jones would probably have a lot of pressure from the fan base. Then he reiterated that we made a great hire. Reading into the carefully selected words, he was advising patience as we rebuild. Made me feel good about the hire and a bit sad that we will be facing a rebuild in a very tough league.
