Respect your opinion i do

But how can this be a good hire to continue the momentum we were building when he has no experience on the power 5 level not even as an assistant. Has no Current connections to future ACC level recruits that takes years to develop considering you are competiting against. Has no players to bring from his own recruiting classes to fill the void. Doesn't know the players in the transfer market or hasn't recruited most of the top 200 anyways. Has been at the same job for almost 2 decades and the same school for 3 decades. And the only positives people can provide are that he is a really nice guy. I agree... He is a good X and O coach. I agree... He is from the new river valley. Shouldn't be a requirement... He wont leave us. Shouldn't be a requirement or matter. And that we should give him 5 years to see what he can do. Im sorry I like basketball and spent decades of that mentality with TECH and I would rather have some kind of logical choice.

We could of Gotten a high level assistant (Chew) (Mcneilly) if we wanted an experiment and I would of been fine with it. We could of gotten a fired coach Tenn did and it seemed to work out. I would of been thrilled with Mckay from Liberty because he does seem to be a program builder and was with bennnett. But instead we went with a total unknown commodity on the ACC level and we are going to ask him to compete against Roy Williams, coach K, and the rest of the ACC. It doesn't make sense and the reasons we are getting fed for his hiring shows the lack of commitment the Administration has for basketball AGAIN.

everybody knows this most hokies just only watch football. Can Young Work out.. Absolutely he can and I hope he does.. I want to be wrong. but this hire tosses the next 3 years away because they knew Nolley and company aren't staying around for a maybe when they can go get a definite... Then we are going to hope HOPE that he can get everything up to speed and build a program that can compete eventually.

Sorry would just wish that one day we could commit to basketball instead of putting it on the back burner... So if voicing reason is wrong then I'll just be wrong...
