They know full well that this is a garbage hire and a non-market contract but are trying to convince themselves that it's not. I at least get Will putting a positive--albeit intellectually dishonest--spin on everything since he needs access to the AD to do his job.

I really do hope things work out, but that's generally not what happens when low-major college head coaches move to major positions, but there are exceptions. So, maybe there is hope?
