That is what worries me.


(He may be right). Hiring Young may mean: 1) Whit feels the finances are so precarious right now that he cannot take a chance on an expensive coach that probably would, but might not, pay-off (Matta, Hurley, Wojo). 2) Whit is not concerned if there is no honeymoon period for the new coach, which there would not be with Young. He hopes that because expectations would be low, any success Young does have will bring fans back eventually (after they desert their season tickets in the next couple of down years). If fans don't come back and Young struggles, he can fire him at a low cost (small buy-out) and try again. For whatever reason, he has decided that an expensive hire is too risky right now.
