Maybe so but most good/great coaches are glory hounds. You can coach
in the ACC and have most college B-ball fans know your name and hear about yourself and team from November until April or you can coach in a lesser conference and test yourself a few times a year if things roll right and maybe be a home town hero or one month a year (March tourney time) type name. Celebrity has its appeal and it is a strong one for the egos that coaching often draws. It ain't just about the easiest path to winning for a lot of these guys is my read.
