I don't disagree with anything you said, but here is my logic

for why I predicted the way I did.

BC: VT seems to have a history of struggling in games @Chestnut Hill. Also, early in the season the defense is ahead of the offense. If the defense struggles that game, then I am not sure the offense can score enough to beat BC in a low scoring game.

GT: Even though they have a new HC and most likely a new offensive system, we have no clue what that new system will look like or how quickly the players catch onto it. Even if GT is a train wreck for the next couple of years, don't be surprised if they pull a few upsets along the way. Recently, it seems like VT lays an egg to an inferior opponent and GT could end up being this year's egg.

UNC: Given where the game falls in the schedule, another egg candidate especially if VT takes a very bad UNC team lightly. Then again, UNC may not be as bad as you think or VT has not resolved any issue going on with either the offense and/or defense.

Remember the worse thing a team can do is take an opponent lightly. If they do, then you end up with JMU, Temple, and Miami (OH)......all games that were never played. ;-)
