I regard both as generally technically sound (Mr. Roth remarkably so), both excellent action-callers and both genuine and fair representatives of VT athletics to the VT fanbase and general public. I was very sorry to see Roth leave his longtime post and the many calls he made memorable - but Mr. Laaser, though his style and mannerisms are different, I've come to enjoy because he delivers a well-wordsmithed product that takes time and talent to cultivate - growl or no growl.
