What Buzz has in the cupboard

Anything can happen, but here is one scenario

Buzz decides that there is more upside to stay with a patient AD in Whit who loves what he's all about. Whit can't match A&M $-wise but can offer some long-term stability. Perhaps another 3-5 years to make another run like this will then enable Buzz to punch his ticket to a UCLA type of program.

If he comes back to VT, I think NAW is definitely gone. However --

a.) Maybe one of the best big men in Division I returns. There I said it. He's outplayed bigs from Kentucky, Duke and other big-time programs time and time again. He can be the focal point of the offense if needed. "We got more to do. I think next year's team is gonna learn from this. Keep the upward ascension going. I'm proud to be around these guys, every day." - Kerry Blackshear, Jr., speaking to WFXR interviewer in locker room after the Duke game. [found video on Twitter, posted by @Raggs_No_Riches - Tramel Raggs] -- I'm just saying, there COULD be a chance he returns for one more go with the Hokies.
b.) Landers Nolley is as good as advertised and picks up NAW's vacated spot. He probably won't be able to produce like NAW did this year, but anything close to what NAW did his freshman year would be great. 4-star prospect. 6'7", 205 lbs as a senior in high school. Considered a top-50 player nationally and TOP 10 forward in the entire country. He could choose to stay at VT.
c.) Incoming recruiting class is ranked 25th in the nation, and FOURTH in the ACC, ahead on UNC's class. Anthony Harris is considered one of the TOP 10 guards in his class. Emmanuel Miller is a 6'7" PF recruit who was considered one of the top 25 PFs in the nation. Andre Gordon is a combo-guard considered the 31st best CG in the nation in his class. This is no "bad recruiting" on Buzz's part, or "leaving the cupboard bare."
d.) Chris Clarke isn't coming back, right? Right? I can't even dream about it?
e.) I love what Isaiah Wilkins is all about. He's a smart player who can shoot the 3-ball, as well. He will be a solid contributor.

There are a lot of moving parts right now, but don't think there isn't some consideration by Buzz as to what he has at VT next year compared to absolutely nothing at A&M. It won't be this year's team, but Duke will be a completely different team, too.

VT could be a home for another little bit. He loves his support staff, and talks about them all the time. This success isn't all Buzz. It's a TEAM of people all pulling together to try and make this program successful. He already knows what he has here. LOTS of variables at A&M.

(All this said, if I had to bet, I'd say Buzz will leave. But I'm still dreaming that maybe all the above factors into him staying, as well as what his wife and kids are telling him. Who knows????)
