I agree - year end results are what matters.


IMHO the 1967 team made the Elite Eight (although it wasn't called that back then) and that is the high water mark. The 1973 NIT Championship team is a very close second because of the way the tournaments were set up back then. There were 25 teams in the 1973 NCAA tournament and 16 in the 1973 NIT - and some of those 25 teams in the NCAA were from lesser conferences.

Personally the 1973 is my all time favorite VT sports moment(s) of any kind - absolutely breathtaking the way we won that title.
