That is my thought. its a unique situation in that you can face the ball


and not worry about where the man is. Just your zone since you do not care if they get a 2 pt goal. I think this would force that. The risk here is you only lose about 1 sec off the clock. So inbounds for another .5-1 sec and there is still 4 sec or so but make both free throws and they have to go the length of the court with no timeout and make a three. Now if you miss a free throw then the advantage goes towards the offense slightly in that they can be more downhill and force contact easier.
