My suggestion to level the playing field IRT "one & done" players
If a kid leaves school early for the NBA, his scholarship is still tied to that university for the remainder of the 4 years he would have played. That would require BB factories like Dook and Kentucky to "coach up" those walk-ons. I think that would significantly level the playing field across basketball.
If a student athlete leaves to pursue other interests, that scholarship is released back to the school.
But if a student is leaves for any stated reason (criminal, grades, etc.) then joins the NBA, his scholarship is still tied to that university for the remainder of 4 years.
That would definitely "spread around" the "one & done" players because no school would be able to continue down the Dook/Kentucky path of multiple "1 & dones."
