Hope that the Committee does not operate like a Computer

The analysis that just looks at the numbers can be done by a computer. I would hope that the Committee would realize that we were missing both JRob and Horne for two of the losses to quadrant I teams, Louisville and Clemson. The fact that both were missing dramatacially changed our approach to the games. Once Horne came back, and we had some additional time without JRob to develop a new approach to the offense, we started running a more effective offense. The other losses, after the loss of JRob, were a loss to UVA where we had a very bad three point shooting game, yes I understand this is not a good excuse, and an away game to a team that is ranked as our equal and we took them to OT.
If you look at the teams that you list as 5 seeds Marquette has 4 losses in a row, Maryland is 3-3 over its last six games and Mississippi State has a losing road record in the SEC, based on this data I think we are the strongest of the 5 seeds.
Turning to Wisconsin they have a loss to an average Indiana team that is likely an NIT team, Kansas State does not have any OOC wins against ranked teams, and given our head to head with FSU we are at least equal to FSU, and I think you could argue on a neutral site we are likely better, hopefully we will find out for sure shortly.
Turning to the 3 seeds we have beaten Purdue on a neutral court and as far as Texas Tech is concerned their only OOC game against a ranked team was a loss to Duke. So I think you can make a strong case for VT to be a 4 seed and a reasonable case that they should be a 3 seed.
