His statement that we "can't put guys in the league", well that will certainly be true this season where Nijman is the only guy likely to be drafted. It wouldn't have been true last year.

"Coach likes to use a running back by committee"..well I've seen that description in at least 4 or 5 publications so he didn't make that up. If Fuente doesnt want people as well as the general media to use that as a negative recruiting tool, then he needs to stop using 6 different running backs to run the same play.

"Foster is retiring.:" Well he will be 60 in a few months. I suspect he'll coach 4 or 5 more years then retire. People have been using age as a negative recruiting too for ages, so nothing new.

"Blacksburg is in the middle of nowhere" This is something that is not new and recruits will either like it or they won't. It is likely a negative recruiting tool, but anyone who has been to Blacksburg can see for themselves. Our remote location and campus beauty were certainly a reason for us landing Doug Nester, so it can work both ways.
