IMO Gentry was indeed at the top of his game. But...like the rest of our program complacency got the best of him too. Staying the same and not adapting let others catchup to us. Which to me is synonymous with decline. I am not the only person with this opinion. Even folks that worked under him and remained feel that things got stale under him.
