The idea that NAW should come back is ridiculous at this point

Absolutely nothing good could happen if he returned, the only way he increases his draft stock is if he all of a sudden grows two inches, puts on 15 lbs, and adds 5 inches to his vertical to become an explosive player. God forbid he gets seriously injured.

Statistical increases in college mean nothing unless you're an unknown guy who goes off, like Erick Green leading the country in scoring and being a late 2nd round pick. The age increase another year adds is a much bigger hindrance than any statistical development. The top 5 picks will almost always be athletic freaks and OaD's then 5-10 will be the best of the best beyond the consensus top picks.

NAW's game is as complete as it's going to get in college, he's a great shooter, mightily improved on defense, and a solid passer. Coming back to a depleted VT team will do nothing but make him look worse and make him an older prospect.
