The offense was abysmal from '06 to '08. That was the OC's responsibility. But there were also personnel challenges at that time (OL, RB and QB) Perhaps that is why Beamer gave him a pass.


The offense was better in '09 to '11, but dropped off in '12. The hard part is that Stiney was instrumental in recruiting many of the top recruits from the 757 in that era. Beamer had to give him the job because otherwise he would have taken his recruiting skills elsewhere. But the struggling offenses and questionable playcalling were tough.
