may give the despised "down the hall hire" a positive vote ...
i believe our football program has the fiscal capacity to hire almost any good coach the staff needs. not the over-priced, dismissed former head coaches. but non-prima donnas who know their trade and can coach young players.
if CJF or our staff needed someone from another college, we would have researched prospects and found the candidate.
but if you have an "Director of Player Development" with outstanding college experience in the same D system, also with professional experience, served as interim D coordinator, and at least 6 years (by my count) of college coaching experience; and you like what you see and hear - then give him a shot. it's not like they haven't been able to observe him and his work ethic the past two years.
... if he turns out to be as good as we hope.
Go Hokies!
