Too few folks were around in the late 80's, early 90's with Frank.
He was damn lucky he wasn't fired after the 1992 season. No doubt he inherited a huge mess, when he took over. Beginning in 1987, over the next 6 seasons, he record was 2-7, 3/8, 6-4-1, 6-5, 5-6, and finally 2-8-1.
What later arriving fans don't know is all the fans back then were even more anti Frank than fans are anti Fuente today.
Granted, should Fuente have a 6-6, or 7-5 season with this year's schedule, then his detractors will be come legion just as they were in 1992, Frank's 6th year at the helm.
