We were down to two QB’s after two of ours got sucked into the vortex. We need a third just to field a team. The coaches may not have wanted to stunt Ellis’s development by moving him back - temporarily - to QB just so he can be back there sitting on the bench as an insurance policy (and not, by the way, practicing and playing at his new position). Clearly Fuente and staff don’t see Kadum as the future at QB, otherwise they would have recruited him before we lost two others at that position. Some of you seem to be evaluating him as if he’s considered a key target intended to take over the position. He’s an insurance policy there in case the worst happens. We don’t need Joe Montana for that and if that’s what we had gotten, it would only guarantee one of the QB’s ahead of him would transfer at some point.
