Look what a call or two did to Robinson. Took him out of the game and changed things entirely. Make a couple calls against a UNC player or two, and things could well swing the other way. The refs can and appear to often do subtlely influence games in this way.

There was a play with about 12 minutes left where Maye went up for a shot and Blackshear had good position for a block. Maye clearly left the ground and then landed before making a pass to another player. Textbook traveling - no call. Does that no call change the game? Perhaps - Carolina scored on that possession. Had traveling been called and Tech went down and hit a 3, maybe we cut the lead to single digits and momentum shifts back in our favor.

In the end it’s mostly about making plays and shots. But ref bias can be a
critical part of the game...
