Something caught my eye this weekend...

In a postgame Roanoke dot com article...

I had been noticing the last 3-4 games that we have been playing somewhat selfishly at times offensively..particularly NAW. In the first half vs Wake Forest, I saw NAW wave off Robinson to bring the ball up himself. No big deal I thought at first. Then he did it a couple of more times..and he was calling plays which ended in him taking the shot each time. During a timeout I saw NAW and JRob talking with buzz in a somewhat intense manner. I totally get that we need NAW to make plays and be aggressive, but at times he really forces it. He also will drive it and force it, when Outlaw and Hill in particular are wide open for a shot. With all that being said, it didn’t bother me until I read his quotes in that post game article. The two quotes, similar in context, were:

“Everyone was flowing together. We were all just playing our game, staying in our lane.”
And..
“...I think thats what we can be. I think we can be really effective when we’re together. Staying in our own lanes.”

The “stay in your lane” quotes rubbed me the wrong way. Especially after Him and Jrob seemingly having some disagreements during the wake game. Just wanted to see what everybody thought, and for you all to watch tonight to see if there’s anything noticeable etc.
