Any time you put guys in the NFL,....
especially ones projected to be high draft picks, it probably goes without saying you do not expect to be as stout. That being said, I think the real issue for Clemson will not be a question of starters but, one of depth and the ability to withstand untimely injuries. Xavier Thomas and KJ Henry will more than backfill the DE positions. Albert Huggins was the SC Player of the Year coming out of HS and was serviceable in the playoffs as a substitute for Wilkins. While I am not familiar with the Clemson roster I have no doubt they will have another DL available and kids to step in as starters. On O there is plenty of talent and they can also cover at least some decline in the defense, margin of victory drops from 30 something a game to 20 something a game, probably no big deal. Clemson has done what lots of VT folks wish VT had been able to do back in 2000. VT raised its profile in 2000 but, Clemson leveraged an initial national championship game run to an entirely new program level and multiple additional championship game runs. Congrats.
