The Appy State loss led to Carr's 'retirement' and Michigan went into a


tailspin for years after hiring Rich Rod and Hoke. The Appy State loss mattered - it changed Michigan football.

For me the jury is out on the ODU loss. Alabama lost to UL Monroe in Nick Saban's first season but he had Alabama turned around in season 2. If Fuente can get this turned around then the loss doesn't mean much.
