I'm not gloomy when I say we will never catch Clemson, I'm content.

I want happiness from this hobby. Just like any hobby.

I play golf when I can. I don't think that I may someday join the tour. At my age, it would be the senior tour anyway. I don't play golf with the thought that I will one day be the best at it.

I play golf so I can be the best I can be and enjoy it. I want VT to enjoy shooting 78 because 78 is really good. It's not the 69 that Clemson just shot at Merion even though VT and Clemson are from the same town and play the same clubs. Clemson is also 6'6" and has a soft putting stroke and a sweet short game. That's why Clemson shoots 69 at Merion and I'm happy with 78 at Blacksburg CC.
