Really what I mean is he isn't comfortable with his left hand.


I don't think it has anything to do with his leg. Sometimes he's got a clear path to score a layup with his left hand...but he just goes underneath the basket to wrap it around with his right. He makes it more difficult on himself, just because he's not comfortable with that left hand.
