I went to James River HS in Buchanan, 62-67 and was involved with sports.

The teams in that district was Wilson Memorial (they had a college-size court and was so dimly lit that one would think you were playing by candlelight), Riverheads, Ft. Defiance, Buffalo Gap (these last three all began in 62-63), Clifton Forge, Central (in Low Moor, later merged with CF to form Alleghany County, and JRHS. Central's gym was so small that the wall was the end-line.

Tourney games were in VMI's Pit. It was also unbelievably dark in that place!
