I switched from Directv to Directv Now. It was cheaper and I could watch 3

devices simultaneously for about $60 per month. I have an additional requirement, living in two places during the week. Directv Now would allow access to ACCN and ESPN3 in the prime location, but not both.
Now if you want to watch VT, you need to be able to access ACCN and ESPN3. So I switched to YouTubeTV which allows me access in both locations plus local channels for $42 per month. Plus you can access 6 devices simultaneously.
You're still going to need a streaming device. I use Roku, but you can read reviews of each. It's main competitor is the FireStick. Say you use Roku. You will have to download the ESPN app(its free)..
In order to watch, the ESPN app will ask for your provider(in my case, YouTubeTV ) Follow the directions and you're in.
I currently have 100 mbps in one location and 30 in the other. Suddenlink is my ISP in one location and TriCounty Telecom in the other.
But that summarizes what I do to watch VT.
