Saban didn't have the same level of success at Michigan State and Toledo that he has experienced at Alabama or even LSU. Heck none of his teams have even come close to duplicating what Oklahoma did under Bud Wilkinson (win 47 games in a row). Keep in mind that Bud retired from college coaching at the age of 47 so he could run in a special election to replace his friend, the late Robert Kerr, as US Senator for Oklahoma. Some experts have suggested that if he had remained in college coaching, then he would have been 1 of the Top 5 greatest coaches of all time.
