“Trying to lose” with the entire choice of wording/tone of your post.
To several of your points; I think Buzz is an incredibly smart, and yes unconventional, guy and understands in the grand scheme of things an early road loss to a P5 team 1) isn’t the end of the world 2) certainly provides many coachable moments moving forward.
I think he as a coach, as well as the team are too experienced to view this is a “relief” per say but I get your point.
Moral of the story...take care of the next month of cupcakes, get another OOC P5 Win against UW...go anywhere from 10-8 to 12-6 in an always tough ACC and sit at 22-9 to 24-7 at year’s end.
My personal hope is a 4-6 Seed and at LEAST 1 Tournament win. As we all know from being America’s preverbal “Bubble” Team it’s all about seeding. 7/8/9 Have first round exit written all over them. It will be CRUCIAL to get that 11th or 12th ACC win.
