Problem is the radio business, NO ONE listens anymore
Radio stations are broke, and really don't broadcast anymore. The radio stations are owned by large corporations now, and they feed music from central servers no where near the station.
Also, the sports business do not give them the revenue, therefore, there is simply no interest in giving rights to local sports... And VT with ISP, want a certain fee for their products and these stations are willing to negotiate.
Frankly, VT is fortunate to still have stations in Norfolk area, Richmond and DC
