Those behaviors by our fans are completely unacceptable. I believe every fan base has some bad actors, but I do not believe the big time programs treat opposing fans that rudely.

Whether we are playing UVa, Miami, WVU, (or anybody for that matter), if I am attending the game, I make it a point to seek out fans of our opponent. I thank them for coming to the game, I tell them I hope they have a positive experience, and I ask if there is anything I can do to help out. I do this before, during, and after the game, regardless of the score, as I believe it is the right thing to do.

And regardless of our rivalry with UVa, I'll never forget what our brothers and sisters in Charlottesville did for us after the tragedy of 4/16/2007. Sure, they may "hate" us, but when we were hurting, they were there.

A game is just a game - we're all supposed to be humans.
