It's never right to falsely accuse someone of anything. There's no place for it, regardless of history. If you make something up to hurt someone's reputation, you're in the wrong. I couldn't agree more.

My post was not intended to defend this girl. It was intended to address the thought that the PUBLIC has lost a sense of "innocent until proven guilty". It's also wrong to assume guilt because of an accusation. We have a legal process for that. But...it's temporary IMHO. It's an over-correction that stems from people who didn't have a voice having found it. And now they're being loud. I'm not saying it's right, just that it's part of the process, and it's temporary.

That said...this has gotten very political, so I apologize. I can see how my previous post can make people heated, which was the opposite of my intent, so I wanted to clarify.
