that for generations it was often the woman who was chastised for speaking out, even when she should. Speaking the truth could destroy her reputation, even when she was the victim. There is a movement today to shift the support to the woman in response to these previous injustices. I think it has over-corrected, but I also think the pendulum will swing back and hopefully settle in a fair place. Determining what's "fair" and getting there doesn't happen quickly.

I'm just saying to view [EDIT: the trend to determine guilt based on accusation in the court of public opinion] as an over-correction that results from people trying to make a positive change. I think this distinction helps demonstrate that the issue will correct itself in time. And that the majority of people have good intentions on both sides. I don't think the presumption of guilt in these instances is fair. I just also don't think that problems like this are unusual for big social changes.

Sorry for the politics. I just feel like it's not as bad as it looks.
