No way we get used to it....

....the dynamic has changed in college football. Welsh is gone. UVA is not a football option at all. The days of UVA getting players like Shawn Moore, Herman Moore, Terry Kirby, Chris Slade, Tiki Barber, Ronde Barber and Anthony Poindexter are over. These days those types of players all go out of state and if they do go in state they are probably going to Tech. Tech has a football program with a fan base, an unbelievable game day experience to show recruits and we are an excellent academic institution that you guys can no longer say we are a community college. Really good football players are not going to be sold on "The Grounds", secret societies, Thomas Jefferson, RFK and Ted Kennedy going to your law school and the lacrosse, baseball, tennis and croquet teams being elite programs. You basically can't sell out your stadium regardless of who the opponent is. Hang out in NOVA, Richmond and Hampton Roads and look out for UVA hats, shirts, bumper stickers or license plate frames and you probably will see next to none-matter of fact you will see more JMU fans showing off of their schools. That is because UVA loves to brag about how elite they are but after you guys graduate it is apparent that where you went to college is not a very big deal. I have been in airports around the US and THE WORLD wearing a VT hat or shirt and hear "Go Hokies". Even in Germany. Does that happen to a Hoo wearing a hat or shirt in say Salt Lake City or London? I don't think so. You think a UVA degree sets your players up for life? Look up Shawn Moore's LinkedIn Profile-he is wearing a bow tie and his career profile translates as after football I have never had a job with a title that basically translates to BS-his overall career title should be director of BS. Check out Terry Kirby's stellar career after football. Check out Herman Moore's career after football-Team 84 Marketing?-Helluva website that is one page. Check out Thomas Jones and see if you can even remotely figure out what his two person company does in Los Angeles-it ain't law or medicine. Michael Vick is national broadcaster after football and I don't think he has a degree. Bruce Smith is a very successful real estate developer and business man. Kevin Jones was a first round draft pick and now has an MBA with a real career that is not in sports marketing or entertainment. Brag about basketball because that is the sport you have it going on in.
