Not sure how that excuses the bad play calling. Putting a cold backup QB


when to starter has rhythm and it driving the ball, calling a run from backfield in 4th and inches situations, etc. aren’t matters of a lack of offensive playmakers. A good OC will play the strengths of the personnel on the field not to the strengths of the players one wishes they had.
