A good portion of Hokies lives In Richmond and NoVA which are roughly three and a half hour drive to Blacksburg. Whit made it a point to the board of ACC that its hard for his fans to make it to a noon game if they were coming from the 757 area. They would have to leave at 4 or 5 in the morning for a day trip. This season has been a testament to how Whit is working for and with the fans of the Hokies. Yes, he doesn't have full control of times of games but he pushes hard for later games. That isn't saying there won't be future noon games but it won't be the norm anymore.
