The game program handed to fans again this year is terrible. Ways to improve this booklet has been pointed out to and ignored by the Editor. Again this year, one page is devoted to postage stamp sized photos of players, the quality of which would make DMV photos look professional. Player information provided includes position, class, height and hometown. Additional information about visiting team players includes weight and previous school. Rather than repeatedly subjecting fans to full-page bios on the university President and AD, and lengthy narratives on each member of the basketball staff, why can't more information be provided about the players? Aren't the players deserving and the reason why fans attend games? The one page that does highlight an individual player is ridiculous asking such thought provoking questions like "Favorite flavor of ice cream?" and "if you were a superhero, what power would you have?" Who comes up with this stuff?! One more suggestion: provide a page for fans to keep stats on players during the game; an old fashioned scorecard, if you will. I may be alone with my thoughts, but maybe there are others whose voices will be heard, leading to improvements to this stale publication.
