Bitter and other blowhards drive me nuts sometimes-

From his 5 takeaways article:

"3. The Hokies have lost their home-field advantage"

Seriously, did you go to the stadium, or mail it in from the couch again? The crowd was in the game for as much as they could stomach it. Sure, when VT plays good teams at home, there is less chance they will win. But did you consider that maybe they lost against these teams- EVEN WITH the home field advantage?

The criticism should really fall on Fuente here. He didn't give his players the best strategy to win, and he broadcast his intent many times before the game. Everyone I know saw before the game that the defense would struggle. Then why not design the playcalling to take up as much time off the clock as possible? Throwing 40 yard passes doesn't do that. Hell, after a player gets a first down, have him take a dive if you have to, in order to eat up more clock and keep the GT defense on the field. The failures of the Offense can be directly attributed for having to sit 10 minutes between every GT score. C'mon- you had one job. And PJ has beaten you 3x now.

I know this went from Bitter to Fuente, but I guess I'm still bitter ABOUT fuente and his decisions, when ultimately his decisions and poor play selection led to sub-par O performance from a young offense.

And one more thing. VT pays a lot of money specifically to a Special Teams coach. How many other teams do that?? I know that ST has been good the last two years- there should still be no reason for all of the punt return issues. None. No excuse! Work that sh#$%t out!
