He didn't quit at all...


....what happened is that white men with gray hair used to go out and sign studs and then that changed. That was a liability in recruiting and the teams went out and hired younger guys, many of color that were more savvy to this generation and social medial etal. There was a time when Billy Hite of VT and Danny Wilmer of UVA went out and signed many of the stud recruits. Those days are over. Danny Wilmer I believe signed Terry Kirby in 89 when he was Parade player of the year. Those days are over. Hite was good for VT. Back in the day every spring game I went to, the Coach for DeMatha was there with a bunch of DeMatha players. That was Billy Hite. How about some criticism of Bud Foster and his lack of recruiting? He had DeShaun Hand in the bag and let him get away. I believe Foster was the recruiters for Ricky Slade who supposedly wanted to got to VT his whole life and would have started day 1 and he went to Penn State.
