I think the ACC Championship is more prestigious than first round NCAA win.


ACC Championship gives you a (pretty durn nice) banner to hang. Going to the NCAA gives you a banner to hang (and you automatically get this if you win the ACC tourney). I don't think teams hang a banner for NCAA Rounds of 32 (But I'll bet they do for Sweet Sixteen)
