While they fed the ball inside a little, they relied on their strengths on the wing to beat people in transition. It's essentially the same here with feeding Blackshear, but they'd rather get points in transition from their wings. The roster make-up is basically identical. Lots of wings, 3 pgs and one and a half centers.
Think about the players who he had from his program at Marquette, Jimmy Butler, Jae Crowder, Wesley Matthews, Vander Blue, Darius Johnson-Odom...they're all in that athletic guard/wing mold, and that's who he built around...Devante Gardner was an outlier, just like Satchel Pierce/Khadim Sy were outliers and didn't really fit what he wants to do
