Weren't known for extensive training and left most of it to the player, team practice and the S&C coach.
I've been told of OCs and QB coaches that just told the QBs to throw until they're arms got tired.
Again depending on the player, team practice and S&C.
The Bear was notorious for it too.
Didnt mean they are not good folk but modern position focused scientific coaching use to be just for cheerleading and, in my case, drinking
