When they fired Solich after he was hand picked by Tom Osborne.
Then hired Mr. West Coast Offense who single handedly dismantled the in state pee wee to high school farm system and kids started heading out of state to play.
Before that they had kids coming in on scholarships and walk ons that had played traditional Nebraska Football since birth.
And now the can't get their hands on enough talent to fill a team that can win.
And they will never be able to rebuild that old system due to current recruiting limitations, lack of talented walk ons and no stability with the coaching staff.
